Yes ours is 4G and for 12 mths could have got one for less but knew we would be using it for our trips away until the end of the year.

Thanks, most helpful.  Decided now, not sure if we'll get now or on our return from NZ as we don't tour Nov-Feb anyway and won't be around again to start touring until April next year.  Need to converse with daughter about the NZ bit before making final decision.

B2, we also have a  3 system, started with a "dongle" then added a small mobile router (before the days of 3 mifi) so we could useseveral devices at once.

3 have greatly increased the number of feel at home countries, most o Europe now plus USA, Autralia, not sure on NZ.

For our long trips, we buy a pre loaded SIM off Amazon or e bay, this year we got a 12 month 12GB one for about £20, the12 months does not start till you first use it, you also get shorter, cheaper ones, we keep a selection with us.

The only thing to be aware of when you go abroad with it is that 3 can block it after 2 months of foreign use, we carry a second smaller one if going abroad longer than 2 months, just in case.

When you return to UK, it will work OK again.

It is cheaper to buy a new SIM than to reload it as they cost  less off Amazon or e bay than from 3.

Thanks KjellNN. Which mifi make did you choose? I don't suppose there's much between them.

You've really gone the extra mile 😃. I'll note it on your staff appraisal and it MAY attract a pay increase 😂😂😂😂. Oh if I had only a £1 for every time I heard that 😉

B2.......we use a very neat Zoom Travel Router, it has a rechargeable battery, cost about £50  few years back, we plug our 3 dongle into that, then we can both use it at the same time.  The newer ones are a bit fancier, about £57 on Amazon now.

Will take any brand of Dongle, but we use only 3.

Might have already been mentioned but, you can only use 1 device AT A TIME.
Log out of the wifi from first device and then I think you can log in with a second.
