Makes you wonder
Our daughter and her family are currently staying at Pembrey Country Park site and are having a wonderful time, well they were. Our 12 year old grandson left his orange ice watch and his Help 4 Heros wristband in the showers. Is obviously a child's due to the size. Most decent people on finding them would hand them in to the Wardens, but this does not seem to be the case.
Such a shame but I suppose this is the way things are today.
Outcome one very upset Granson and one equally upset Mother who happens to be celebrating her birthday today.
I do hope the finder is pleased with the watch and the H4H band.

I'd put a notice up in the toilet where it was left or even in the information room. It may just be whoever found it was going out for the day and "overlooked" handing it in. Hopefully prick their conscience - it's scarcely believable that someone would deliberately hang on to it. Hope for a happy ending!

Have a word at reception , there's usually a chalk board outside , maybe one of the wardens can put a lost item message up .
Hopefully you'll get his things handed in .👍

Thanks both, the wardens have been very helpful and have put notices up, hopefully the finder will come forward and return them.

Update : Daughter and family have returned from Pembrey and unfortunately the finder of our Grandson's watch used the rule "Finders Keepers" such a shame as I said it makes you wonder but I feel this is a sign of the times.

I'm afraid thieves are not a modern phenomenon, they've been around since the beginning of time, the only answer is not to give them opportunities. The items can be replaced & hopefully a valuable lesson learned for the youngster.

It is quite possible that the items were taken by another child - who may well have left the site by now.

That would make this sorry tale even more depressing! Can you imagine the conversation when the child returned to their 'van.
" Hello son, that's a nice watch and a wristband you've got there. Did your Mum buy them for you?"
" No Dad. Someone left them in the toilet block, so I knicked them."
" Well done, lad - just keep them out of sight until we leave."

That's an even worse slur on club members than a child, or even an adult, taking it.

Question it if they knew.
It's the scenario you conjured up that I found so astonishing.
