    When I sercumbed to having a motor mover fitted, badgered by oh and told by our doctor (also a caravanner)one thing I was advised was only have a manual type fitted as a low Batt can engage and  may use but a good chance will not release

    Would you agree with me that the power touch all singing and dancing auto engage 4 wheel motor mover is overrated . I had one fitted 4 years ago and still do not feel confident that it will work when i come to use it , it stops starts judders locks we are always having to reset it . I would never have another one or recommend anyone to purchase one . Its had numerous new parts fitted over the years all in warranty .I will be speaking to them at the caravan show in October to what they think of all the trouble we have had and still have. I park the van next to the house and have to go up the kerb using ramps and before anyone says you should be able to reverse without using the mover save your typing fingers . The mover is much easier to move than trying to reverse with my car.

    We had a single axle auto Powr mover, Dreamer, and felt much as you do. Powr identified the parts needed to convert it to manual operation (about £100). We were going to buy the parts and do the conversion but swapped the van for a MH instead.

    So glad I didn't sucumb to the auto engage type David. Winding it on with a drill is fairly problem free- as long as you have remembered to charge your drill batteries of course. So far so good but there's always the first time......😂😂

    I've had a powrtouch auto single axle for 5 years now.  Transferred it to our new van last year.

    So far, no problems. smile

    I think the problem is getting the motors to work together as they have to stagger as they work as not to scrub the tyres I had an old reich single mover on my previous van with a single axle and never had any problems. in 4 years its always a concern when we use it. at nearly 2000 pounds I should not have to worry.
