Arrived here on 14/08/2017 for 5 nights to see some 'fringe' shows.
Great site and a big thanks to the warden who assisted me when my EHU socket broke when I was setting up pitch. He tested the hook up socket and told me where to purchase a new one. Went to Go Outdoors in Leith and go a new one, fitted it and all OK.
Site very in very good order for being so busy will be back next year .

Good to hear about both your visits. yes the wardens helped me out once when I had similar problems.

There is still the path which runs up the side of the site to a bus stop, takes between 5 & 10 minutes depending on walking speed. If there was a gate out of the back of the site it would half the time, although I can understand why there isn't, it's still a shame.
The old bus route was brilliant, I can't see it coming back but live in hope.

The Edinburgh CMC site is well situated for enjoying the City of Edinburgh.
The walk to the nearest bus stop only takes 10 minutes or so. I would always advise Campers to take the bus, as parking in the City Centre can be challenging.
There is great dog walking along Silverknowes foreshore to Cramond and I have no hesitation in recommending CMC Edinburgh as a perfect urban campsite.
