Eating Out

HI there fellow motor homers/caravaners :-)

We will be traveling back from the New Forest heading towards Lincoln, looking for a CC site part way up for a couple of nights - key requirement is a great town with great eating out places walking distance from the site.  Bit like a Moreton in Marsh (but we've been there loads).

Any advice would be gratefully received - thank you

Are you members of both clubs?

Can't offer an answer as I'm prepping to go away by 1030 😂😂😂. But might help others with suggestions.

Not sure which route you are planning on taking but here are a few suggestions:

Henley on Thames- may be a bit of a diversion but lovely site walking distance to good town

Bladen Chains, Woodstock- again lovely walk to the village centre and Blenheim Palace

Warwick Racecourse-nice site easy walk to town

    Hope these help

You haven't specified what route you would take but if you are using the A1, there is a Camping and Caravanning Club Site in St Neots, which takes non members, and is less than 1/2 mile from town centre.  There are plenty of eating places around.

I don't know how far you want to travel, but Stanford Hall Caravan Site just off J20 of the M1 is a lovely grassy spot. I think used to be a CC site. No toilet block so you do need to be self contained. It gives details and routes on the website.
