When is a CL not a CL?
Looking for a bit of feedback here, when is a CL not a CL any more? We returned to a CL we visited last year, which was quiet, peaceful and very returnable-to. So we returned...
This year, the front end of the field the CL is in has approx another 12 units in it, separated by a row of low shrubbery. All sharing the same toilet/shower, waste, water etc with the CL.
Add to it the fact that the owners friends rocked up Saturday and Sunday night in 2 campervans onto the CL, bringing the number of units on the "CL" to 7 was the icing on the cake.
I feel it's now a nice small caravan site, rather than a CL, but anyone booking it expecting peace and quiet is in for a nasty shock!

This cl seems to fit in perfectly with the subject and it obviously has the clubs blessing, probably because of a hedge.

Similar to 'Cross Farm' CL near Burton upon Trent.
We stayed there a few weeks ago, when we arrived he gave us the choice of the adjacent field (CL with no view) or the bigger site (not many there) with a fantastic view overlooking the village below, same price of £12, shared WC and shower block, with EHU and dog walk.
We chose the view rather than the small, high hedged CL field.

There are a lot of CL sites with licensed private sites adjacent, we have stayed on some lovely ones. Private site often with better pitches than CL section. We stayed on an Absolute cracker a couple of months ago, near Bridlington. Chose to be on private bit there as pitches were nicer!
The Riverside one looks very nice.

Hi etchacan
A CL Site should only have 5 pitches on it at any one time. Any more than that is a breach of the CL Certificate. Please could I ask you to write to us at clresponse@camc.com with more information and any pictures if you have any so we can look in to this further?
Thanks
Maddie
