Trailer for Fiat 500 behind motorhome
My partner recently downgraded his car to a Fiat 500, partly to reduce running costs, but also as we intend to tow it behind our Autotrail Mohican motorhome. We live in East Sussex and the only place we could find to view and discuss our requirements for a trailer was at a Brian James dealer, GA Commercials in Pevensey. The fella was very helpful and gave us a lot of information and advice. We were able to see a trailer similar to what he recommended, but it looked a lot larger than we had expected (it would add 5m to our rig which is already 7.5m) - and cost a lot more! We have been advised against buying an A-frame from several different sources, so the question is: can anyone suggest somewhere in Sussex/Kent/Surrey where we can view/buy a trailer that would accommodate a Fiat 500?

BJ trailers are good and, if the one you looked at was the right size for the car, then that's the length it has to be.
If the car needs a deck of a certain length, it's no good buying a trailer that's too short. You need to get the tape measure out.

Universal trailers, Conyhurst, near Billingshurst might be able to help.
you probably already done so, Brian James Trailer site, has a down load able PDFs which describe the sizes and measurements of their trailers. Helpful people, if you phone up and seek advice,
From memory, the Fiat 500 is one of the heaviest small cars around. (Probably uses proper metal !) think length of car and add half again for the A frame of the trailer should put you in the correct region of length.
