Apologies in advance if I'm bringing up a topic that's been covered already but unfortunately I've not been keeping up with goings on recently. A chap I met told me that Crystal Palace site is closing soon, is this right? It's a site we've used several times but there's still loads we want to see in London , if it is closing we'll need to get a move on.

    Not sure about CP, but there still is Abbey Wood. Very convenient to reach and easy access into the City. A bit long using our bus passes, but only £9.50 by train using our Oyster card, and then it was capped at that figure, even if we used the tubes during the day. About 10 mins walk to the station and 30 mins to  central London. Trains are very frequent.

    I think Crystal Palace has been under threat for some years from various developments. There was something going on around the time of the London Olympics but it all seems to have gone a bit quiet since then.
