Hi, H&T sorry but in not replying yesterday but CT was playing games on my laptop last evening.
We've not yet decided which way to go for our next trip. We want to avoid all the road/bridgeworks at the M6/M5 junction, so we might try a tour down through Wales and then onto Somerset/Devon and head back through the Cotswolds and use the M6 toll to get back north.
Millie, enjoy your trip to Sandringham. Plenty of places round there to visit.
Moulsey, loved your photos. You seem to have been getting out and about a lot since your trip up north.

Bakers2 we haven't been out in the countryside today but it has been beautiful weather so hopefully lots of harvesting.
I have noticed lots of spiders and cobwebs. A bit early?

I've missed where you are thinking of heading, Kjell. I might have some suggestions for suitable CLs if you'll let me know of your proposed direction.

Tewkesbury area....we have found The Willows
North Devon, north of Barnstaple.....we think Wigmore Farm
Boscastle and south........probably Venndown Farmhouse
Then we have booked Merrose Farm and Ramslade', not found any suitable CLs
After that we head up the A303 and have booked Salisbury Hillside, not found a CL instead there either.
Next is Graffham Water, again not found a suitable alternative.
Then York, some CLs but almost as expensive as Beechwood Grange.
EHU and hardstand essential.

KjellNN as an alternative to Graffham take a look a Fairy lodge Farm cl we have stayed there largish hard standing area and ehu also toilet and shower.

Not too bad here, I'm listening to some music too, Norah Jones, it's helping to drown out the noise of the hedge cutting, our garden help arrived early and got cracking. He does a good job though so we're pleased to see him, he's very busy with local hedges at the moment. We do some ourselves but this is the heavier stuff today which is the main reason we book him every now and then.
Funny how we're all going off in different directions soon, we must be passing through each others territories somewhere.

Think you're right about being in each others terroritories very soon. Hoping to get away ourselves after Monday so must give some thought to sites. I expect it'll be local or not too far, well see.
Beautifully still morning here again today but not as sunny as yesterday. I reckon yesterday was almost perfect weather-wise here, one to keep in your mind eye on those dull grey days we seem to get so many of 😔.
Hubby tree trimming again up the ladder, I can't watch and prefer to be out but holiday dog due to arrive soon for an overnight.
Heard harvest in for son and partner so less frantic weekend for them 😆. Maybe they'll be doing some of their own planning?? 😂 got Skype booked for tonight with nz crew 😃 hate the 13 hour time difference the most, but soon be 12 for a few weeks then 11 when we change our clocks. Keeps your brain ticking over!
On the subject of autumn and cobwebs I've not seen any with dew on yet. Now that would be TOO EARLY. But just lots and lots of cobwebs. One between the shed, water feature and Christmas box has its creator sitting in the middle almost permanently.

It was a busy night last night at work. They asked me to do an extra hour, so I didn't finish work until 23:00.
It's now time to return to our seasonal pitch. We've got perfect weather for the move.

B2 and others who have mentioned spiders there is a little article in the i paper today. It says spiders have come in early due to wetter weather in August this year. The males are searching out females.
I've now realised what the problem could be with this web site, spiders?

Judging by the speed and efficency of spiders I think your insulting them 😂.
Maybe they'll all move out again. I have noticed webs indoors already 😲 means I'll have to clean properly or folks will notice 😢. Could always use 'if you want to live and thrive let a spider run alive' a maximum I live with, seems a shame to destroy it's means of catching and storing food 😂

Same here for spiders had a large one in the hall the other day OH down in his shed so afraid it did not live then another outside front door OH got rid of that to next door's field I like them a far as away as possible do not mind small ones. Weather very warm here in the Lot mid 30's C hopefully next weekend it drops down to the 20's C, do have a portable air con unit but only use when needed otherwise fans and windows open plus we do partly close our shutters and if outside stay in the shade but we are in an open area as the woods are about 100 metres away.

CC&C site at Salisbury has grass mesh hardstandings not gravel CMAC sites type so not sure if this is what you want also just read some reviews some good some bad, as to Hillside as you say only 11 hardstandings and this site is a very hilly site and some hardstandings might not fit your outfit, it is a rural site but a few miles from Salisbury.

Another gorgeous Cornish summer's day, we've been really lucky with the weather this week. As it's Bank Holiday weekend we decided not to venture out far, so we took a picnic lunch to St Agnes Head and walked along the costal path to Trevaunance Cove. It was busy but surprisingly uncrowded there. Above the cove are some holiday cottages and the owner of one has created this colourful bed of mainly dahlias in a wall overlooking the sea.
They have an annual swim and paddle board race from the two huge rocks which stand a mile off shore. If you look (very, very) closely in therror last picture you might just be able to make out some of the competitors - rather them than me!!

Spent the morning at the Bronte Parsonage museum, found it really interesting, and rather sad that they all died so young. Arrived quite early before the crowds so could take my time round the museum. Hawarth is very touristy but bought some yorkshire fat tykes which are rather like flat scones and delicious.
Weather has been great so still sitting outside tonight.Enjoyed the pictures Moulesy Cornwall looks great in the sunshine.

Still beutifull weather in Dorset, loads of camp sites and all seem full of tents and I mean Full!! The new Swanage Raiway service that connects at Wareham with the national rail network seems to be well used,
loads of blaackberrys on the site dog walk picked a bowl full in 10mins,plenty still left at dog level

Your visit to Hawarth sounds interesting Helen. I have never been as I thought it might be too touristy but the Bronte Parsonage Museum sounds good.

For York, Kjell, try Cherry Tree Cottage, a small commercial site, all H/S with EHU, no toilet block but good free WiFi, not far off the ring road at Nether Poppleton. 1-3 nights £15, 4-6 nights £14. There's a bus stop a couple of hundred yds from the gate with a 1/2 hr service into the city. Here's the link :-

Kjell, are you aware that there are likely to be lengthy hold-ups around the M6/M5 junction for the foreseeable future due to Bridge repair works? Midlands TV have been advising drives to avoid the area if possible. Preparation work has already started and the main work starts early in September.
