I really don't understand the OP's reasoning on this post . What hasn't gone up in the last year, Gas Electric etc .As many of you have said if you don't like what you are being charged you find a cheaper option that meets your needs .It isn't rocket science.😀😀

I did say another member could have the last word however I have to clear up assumptions that have been made about times of year etc, It seems some people have let their imaginations run away with them.
Yes, I did compare exactly the same period in 2016 as in 2017. So that rather blows away any discussion about different periods of the year but hey........let's not get carried away here with facts and imagine that any comment we make is important, carries any weight or is read by thousands. The Discussion part of the website is populated by a very small number of people who appear to have something to say about every topic imaginable. Incidentally, for those who state that my costings were wrong; I note that nobody has posted their cost findings. Let's not allow the facts to outweigh opinions.

If I had the time and willpower, I could probably find a couple of examples ( it seems two are sufficient to prove a case) of sites where the prices were held from last year and say "hey, look at that, zero percent increase at CAMC sites this year"! Of course, that would just be silly wouldn't it?

You seemed to have missed my posts on page 5 and 6. I believe it is you that is ignoring the facts. To save you paging back I have reproduced them below.
Just to try and clarify the point I am trying to make. I checked our booking for Baltic Wharf last year. Don't keep old site directories, but the confirmation emails are saved on my pad.
Now BW is very popular and you would think the club could ask what they like. However, comparing prices 2016/17.
In 2016 for the Balloon festival we paid £31.1 a night and in November £22.90. 2017 prices from the site details would be £32.7 and £24.1 respectively. So an increase for the year of just over 5%.
I realised I had saved the 2016 prices PDF on iBooks, so I checked peak at LMP for 2016. Theses are pitch £9.90 and adult £7.50, somewhat different to the OP's, which I think are 2015. They actually equate to about 4% for a pitch with two adults. Incidentally the child price increased by 10p or 3.9%.
So I think we should be debating a 5% average rise rather than a 10%.
