Toilet etiquette
I have recently been staying on a CL on which the chemical disposal arrangement is covered by a cast iron grid. One of the other units has used this facility twice in the last 2/3 days and on each occasion I have emptied soon after to find ,on lifting the lid,the grid covered in toilet paper, wet wipes etc!there is a tap for rinsing which has quite obviously not been used! What is your opinion of such selfish behaviour? Why would anyone put wet wipes into a caravan toilet and expect the disposal system to cope.

A quiet word in the ear of the CL owner might be needed. Depends on how sewage system copes with wet wipes, might be a problem.

Speak to the CL owner or point out the error of his ways to the other member.

I absolutely agree with Micky. This sort of disregard for the disposal system not only causes problems in the system itself by not being able to dispose of these synthetic items and causing blockages, but worse than that- may lead to the CL owner saying 'it isn't worth the trouble' and closing the site! which really worries me. As far as not swilling down after emptying, I can only wonder what they do at home?? At best it lazy, at worst it's damned inconsiderate for others. As others have said, a word in the ear would serve to sort these people out!

Whilst I would have spoken to the cl owner or the offender,I am not in the habit of adding to the cl owners worries (in this case the sewer system seems to be large enough to cope). In the case of the offender,by the time I came upon the "mess" for the second time the "gentleman" had departed from the site.I cleaned up after him and then, whilst in the mood, started this whinge!!!!!!!
