David, you probably know this but you can get the pods direct from Nesspresso by ordering on line. i'm lucky there is a Nespresso shop in the Trafford Centre 20 minutes away from where i work. I was there last week to stock up and ended up buying another machine to leave in the caravan. It came with a free AEROCCINO3 MILK FROTHER which is normally £50 if you bought 150 pods (which i was buying anyway).

As a rather shamefaced coffee snob who can't stand Nescafe instant I never considered buying a Nespresso machine, preferring the Italian espresso pot in the van and the steam driven monster at home.  However, being a lover of Lavazza coffee, I have recently been persuaded to buy one of their machines which makes a variety of fantastic coffees. The main drawback is that "third party" coffee is not available, so I can't taste the variety I can with the pot and my home machine. This seems to be a real advantage of the Nespresso machines.
On a more serious note Whittakerr don't use your milk frother near friends who have pacemakers or ICDs (Implantable cardioverter defibrillator ) as they work on the electro-magnetic induction principle and are dangerous to them.

Thanks for the tip Wanderbirds. I can’t say I’m as much of a coffee aficionado as you seem to be, but I do enjoy a good strong black coffee.

I don’t know about the Lavazza range but Nespresso do about 22 different capsules, I haven’t tried them all but I would imagine some would have very similar tastes as 22 verities seems quite a lot.
