Departure times at Black Knowl

We have just had our welcome e mail from the Club for our stay at the new improved Black Knowl site later this week. A bit of a suprise as the departure time on the communication now states 12.00. It used to be 11.30 so we are now prepared to meet departing vans on the narrow approach road. I wonder have many knocks there will be from now on as the arrival time is still12.00. cry

    We have used Black Knowl many times and never had a problem passing vans on the approach road

    We have used Black Knowl and met a an arrival in the past when going out when we had motor caravans, and not had a problem in passing,but i think it was stated that the approach had also been "improved as part of the rebiuld

    Just home from Black Knowl and can report that departure time is still 11.30 despite the email from the club stating otherwise.  

    The site improvements are on the whole wonderful, the new facilities block is excellent, with lots of showers etc. and sits in the landscape perfectly.  The entrance has not improved however, the approach is as potholed as it ever was, if not worse, the gate and cattle grid is still at an angle to the road and once on site the new barriers do not align with the arrivals lane meaning you have to twist your outfit sharp right then left to get through, I can foresee it won't be long before someone impales their van on the barrier posts.
