Considering a SsangYong Korando 2.2 4WD: any feedback on this vehicle would be appreciated asap. Currently own Hyundai ix35 4WD.

    I have the 2.2  LE  2 WD . had it since March great spec and comfort level and nice to tow initially was disappointed with mpg but now it's improved. Getting 25 mpg towing which I'm happy with. Comfy smooth drive 

    For the money I think they are a great car, free servicing for 3 years. AA  roadside assistance Uk and Europe  and a 5 year warranty.  

    mine came with tom tom sat nav with European maps, Bluetooth , USB and HDMI connectivity, heated seats , aircon, electric mirrors and windows. Also came with fitted tow bar 

    Great spec for this price of car

    Was in Lowdhams yesterday and they have a full range on display. They do look very impressive for the money but the truck would not pull my new Hymer. Didn't see a " MUSSO ".

    I bought the 2.2 LE 2wd in July 2016.  I've just done a year with it and 10,000 miles.  I've towed on eight occasions to various parts from the country from home in Cheshire (1400 kg Swift Fairway).  As a tow car it is excellent.  It has accomplished everything asked of it with consummate ease. I particularly like it's steadiness at speed and obvious power when accelerating on a motorway slip road.  I've found mpg to be OK.  I've done actual fill-up to fill-up tests (not the dash board read out) and found that on a mainly motorway trip it has done round the 30 mpg, falling to 27 - 28 when there has been a significant off-motorway element to the trip.  Out of interest I recently did mpg tests solo with ordinary and then super diesel.  With a full tank of ordinary diesel it averaged 42 mpg and with a tank of super it did 43 mpg (both tests were over a mix of significant motorway and country road running) - not really worth the extra 10p a litre! (But in fairness it did run very smoothly on the premium fuel).  I bought the car on price and I have not been disappointed.  One final note - my trip to the dealer for it's twelve month service was my first time back there from the day I bought it.

    always use premium diesel as this burns hotter and less chance of DPF blocking. it also keeps the engine oil in better condition as less soot forming in cylinders and contaminating the oil. i would also recommend premium petrol for the same reasons. premium means easier starting, quicker warm-up and more torque=smoother running.

    I have a brand new Rexton, love it, for the money it is great, with a 3500kg tow limit and a maximum nose weight of 128kg.

     

    Merc seven speed auto box and switchable 4WD. We love it. In a month we have done 3226 miles, most of that was in the Lake District and it has performed faultlessly, I can't see the Korado being any different.

    Problem is L1 it's 16p per litre more expensive than Asdafrown

    So where is this "premium"fuel from any brand refined? as we have Bunsfield (yes that one)fuel depot not far from us and every companies, inc,supermarket tankers fill up from the same tanksundecided

    My SsangYong Korando 2.2 4WD SE is just coming up to 1 year old with 11,000 miles on the clock.

    In the last3 months:

    Reims to Calais not on toll roads solo 40 mpg.

    Dover to Durham on motorway at 70mph 41 mpg

    Towing on French toll roads at 60 - 65mph  25mpg

    Towing UK motorway Durham to Dover 26mpg

    Around town 33mpg - I live 1 mile from Asda and local shops so short journeys from cold.

    These reading are actual and they are always near enough the same.

    It's a good car for pulling large motorhomes out of the mud as well.

    The car itself - excellent and no complaints.
