A;so Morris Leisure Llanberis. Excellent public transport from both sites and easy walking to Town. They  very often have 3 for 2 offers starting in September which makes them competitive with C sites.

Lady Margaret CC site at Chirk. A nice quiet site 5 min walk from the town centre and the canal.

DD, the Portmadog/Criccieth area is lovely....the touring area at the Haven site at Hafan-y-Mor is virtually brand new and will be empty and cheap as chips at the end of September.

its on the bus route west and east to Portmadoc and beyond to Portmerion (of The Prisoner fame)....

it also has direct access to the beach and Wales coast path.

another option would be the C&CC site at Llanusdwymtry (or thereaboutswink) which is in the same bus route but closer to Portmadog

DD  - Our lifelong favourite on Anglesey is.....

    Home Farm

It is, or was a Best of British and a good quality site. I think it may fail your criteria above as I am unsure about public transport, but otherwise great.   (And you can choose grass or hardstanding and even book a specific pitch...wink)  (Not sure about arrival time though...wink)

It is also close to Lligwy Beach.......

    lligwy beach

Which is a superb beach.  Turn right for the Coastal Path to Moelfre and the lifeboat station & cafe's or turn left to follow the coastal path as far as you want. Stunning.

But please don't tell anyone about it's good points, we like tourists to use the two CC sites on Anglesey, which aren't as good......wink

And if you walk along the path to Moelfre you will pass the site of & memorial to the Royal Charter which sank loaded with gold. Our kids spent ages in their swimsuits trying to get rich quick....

    Gold ship

Given your forum name, you may have more luck than they did......smile

Beddgelert, Camping in the Forest. Has topped the best campsite list on numerous occasions. Walks direct from site, lovely village with pubs, steam trains from site. Scenery to die for! But not in the school holidays.

Just a little further up road towards the village is Tyn Ddol CS, for my money better than the main C&C.C site. Check it out.

The only problem with the forestry site is that it will lose over 100 pitches soon as they implement the erection of lodges ect ect, locals are against it, do not know how if it has been given the green light.

same company that run the Kilder site 😕

Pen-y-Lyn is a C/L on Anglesey close to RAF Valley which is the training base for RAF jets so there is some aircraft noise on weekdays 8-5 but very entertaining if you like planes. Other than the planes it is a very peaceful cracking site. Short walk to miles of open beaches, a wildlife lake, and the bus stops right outside the site. Fantastic dog walk and very friendly helpful owner. Can thoroughly recommend as long as the planes don't put you off. The Red Arrows (aerobatic plane display team) are frequent visitors.
