Side Mirrors
I am changing my car to a Discovery 4. I tow a Bailey Pageant. Do I need extended side mirrors?

I found this on the C&CC web site, which may be of use. There could be something on the CAMC, but it did not flag up in my Google search☹️. Hope it helps.
To be compliant with the law, anyone towing a caravan must be able to see 20 metres behind them and four metres either side of the towed outfit. In order to meet this requirement, almost all vehicles will need additional towing mirrors

I think the answer is pretty simple. If the car is narrower than the caravan mirrors required. Link beneath gives dimensions.

Stuart the simple answer is yes you do. without them you will be breaking the law and if stopped could be in serious problems with the police. I know quite a number of people tow without the additional wing mirrors, but they cannot see the rear ends of the caravan. We tow with a Range Rover Sport and with the extra wing mirrors I can see both rear edges of our caravan. Without them, and bearing in mind the Range Rover is wider than most cars on the road, I cannot see those rear corners. The difference in rear view is startling when the towing mirror are fitted.

If you don't have the field of vision in the picture on your door mirrors then you need extended ones.
