Bristol International Balloon Fiesta
Mead Farm, Congresbury, North Somerset is a 20 min drive to Ashton Park, where the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is being held this weekend 11th - 13th August. We are a new site and this is our first summer opened and we still have spaces available.

Sandy, Good to hear from you. It is always good to hear of such sites especially new ones not too far from Bristol.
Do I take it that you are a CL - Small 5 van site, or perhaps a slightly larger commercial site? What facilities do you offer and what price range?
We live Nr Almondsbury, North Of Bristol, and won't be attending the balloon Fiesta this weekend, but as I said we often get asked to recommend a site Nr us or WSM.

Hi TF yes we are a CL 5 van site, we offer the basics of fresh water, 16amp hook ups, wash out facilities and some country air, I would put some pictures on put struggling to attach them as they are too big. We are on the CL 5 website under Mead Farm North Somerset. We charge £12.00 spring and summer and £15 winter months that includes the electric. Getting our photo's updated with some summer ones as they ones we put on the website were taken in the winter last year when we opened up, I thought it better than nothing, thou gives you a flavour on who we are. Yes we are only 15 mins from Weston Super Mare and Clevedon. We are finding we are getting a lot of stop overs for 1 night people from up north going to Cornwall who need that stop over for the night and we are about 20 mins from the M5 so its' a good location for them. Anyway all business, had a few 2nd timers stay with us which is good and giving me lots of advice and tips, as someone who does not own a Caravan needs. Take care and thank you for getting in touch - Sandy

That's good to think there are a few more pitches in the Bristol area. I expect all the sites and rallies are full for the fiesta, it's well worth seeing, 20 mins drive to Ashton Court is excellent. I was up that way last Sunday, lots to do in the area!

Just had a look at your web site entry. It is very detailed and refreshing to see such a welcoming description. I do wish more cl owners would take advantage the way you have to announce their site..
There are two further posts on the Certificated Locations section of the web site you may want to take advantsge of. They are, "Late availability for cl's" and "New certificated location". They are there for your benefit. It's a way of getting noticed.

Looks good, Sandy. However your CC web page doesn't say whether you allow dogs on your site and if so is there a decent dog walk on the farm or close by.

Hi Nellie I will get onto the Club to get it changed as in the handbook it says we are a dog free site. Sorry we decided to go down a no dog policy. Thank you for pointing it out thou.

Pity about that, sandy, as we could well have paid you a visit, but as you might guess from my avatar we have a dog.

Ahhh never mind, we may change it one day in the future, as and when things change here at home, just at the moment it does not work for us personnely, watch this space xxx

Sandy, The How to use ClubTogether thread may be of help - Tutorial for uploading photos & video. Resized photos to 500 are OK including profile picture. I find it best to add photos 1st thing am or late at night when less is happening on ClubTogether. Clearing my cache [history] on laptop 1st has sometimes helped too. Good luck with CL venture.
