Sad  to  hear  that  Glen  Campbell,  a  self  taught  country  musician/singer  has  died  of  complications  originating  in  Altzheimers,  at  the  age  of  81

    Very sad news,  I saw his daughter on the television a little while back and she said he was too ill to come on.

    Star performer, his latest album was 'album of the week' a couple of weeks ago which he made with the help of his friends in the business, respect.  RIP Glenn

    Interesting that he was part of the "The Wrecking Crew" before he became famous as a solo artist.  The Wrecking Crew  were the profession studio musicians who created the sound behind many, now, famous songs including those by the Beach Boys and the Monkees.

    Yes, a talented musician long before fame took over. I enjoyed seeing the BBC programme about him last Friday evening.

    My favourite singer as a youth, who also starred along side my favourite actor in my favourite film True Grit.
