marker lights stuck on?

Hi all, a bizarre fault has happened and I wonder if you can help! 

'I have had my van plugged in to the electric outside my house this week ready for our holls, but for some reason tonight all the marker lights have came on and I can't turn them off, I've checked the 13pin plug and it does see a bit damp so squirted it with wd40 but no difference the only way to shut them off is by disconnecting the battery, what are your thoughts?

    Bad earth for 12v gear in van so it is earthing through lights?

    Thanks, I will check that out in the morning, I reconnected the battery a little later and the lights didn't come back on, but left it disconnected for tonight
