What are you all up to

We'll be hitching up the caravan to the Shogun soon. Then we have to sign out at reception before heading up Titnore Lane and then on to the A27, to continue past Grove Lodge roundabout and then on to Lancing. Turn right on to the A2025 towards the A259 Brighton coastal road, turn left on to Old Salts Farm Road and continue on there to arrive at site.
Then unhitch the caravan, get the cornersteadies down and get settled in before making the journey back with the Shogun to swap over to the Smart car, then back to Lancing Fruit Farm in the Smart Car.
As it's a day off from work today, there's plenty of time to get sorted. Tomorrow will be a short commute to work of less than a mile.

H&T, what you need is a maximum size caravan with a bedroom where you don't have to make the beds up every night, plus a full sized awning. Then you'll have as much space as you would have in a flat or bungalow. If you need space from each other, one of you can sit out in the relaxer in the awning whilst the other watches TV or some other pursuit in the caravan. What's the problem with that? With two side annexes, you can effectively have a three bedroomed home. In the summer of 2015, we managed to accommodate 7 people in our outfit in this way for nearly two weeks.

Not sure what I'am up to this morning, not at work until this afternoon, OH has gone looking for "Olives" but don't think he means the edible ones!
Weather ok at the moment so may venture into town, shopping and coffee.
Boss flew to New York at the weekend for a concert, no doubt I'll hear all about it this afternoon!
Have a lovely day everyone.

Many happy returns to Mrs Oneputt. I hope she likes her present, any particular reason for this choice?
Enjoy beaver watching 😉. I do hope you spot them as they spent much time below water, or do you think the rain will fool them?

Malcolm give up now, you won't convince me!

Good luck with your choice, TaffyY!

Yes Taffy, so much better now I have the choice, caravan or house.

You can't complain about space because since 2016 they started building 8 ft wide touring caravans, 24 ft. long. Add a full sized awning plus side annexes to that and you have a huge amount of space to live in or retire in!

We also have the choice of staying in our house (no morgage) or spending (normally)100plus days away in our caravan (uk only these days)or if going abroad being "chaufered"and we are in the lucky position our bank balance is still increasing,

Raining today so outdoor tasks have gone on hold. I'd better get on with some work I suppose.
Just booked a couple of nights away before the next festival. Means we can arrive with a full aquaroll or two and avoid the queues for water on day one.
I'm looking forward to this one. Not a bad lineup and all activities are included apart from the fairground rides.

Have a fab time Jayess, Have you done Fairport Convention festival at Cropredy? Line up not as good this year though, imo.

We are not well off but compared to todays "must have" generation who are forever moaning about "cost of everything" except when they "need" the latest "gadgets etc",we are now harvesting the fruits of our past methods of looking to our future when "retired" there is nothing as your usual "snide" remarks try to put over

Line up some years are better than others. I'am not a big Fairport fan really either.
Edit: my friend is heading for Board masters in Cornwall, she did try to persuade me to go along.

The trouble with a lot of festivals is that the line up is announced after you've bought tickets. I've been caught out a few times like that. Don't even bother with glasto any more although I've never had problems offloading unwanted tickets for glasto.
We've been trying smaller festivals in the last few years. Camper calling is the next one - family friendly and predominantly 'oldies' from the 90s so ideal for us.
It's surprising what is out there. I usually find out too late then forget to look early enough the following year unfortunately
edit - board masters looks interesting.

Glorious morning here, sorry for those where that doesn't apply. Must have had rain overnight? Or another very heavy dew? I had to top up the bird bath so probably dew 😉. But grass soaked!
Meeting an ex colleague for cuppa at lunchtime meanwhile I must get moving. Decided to potter before shower and still not 😲😲. Done plenty and got more to do! The joys of essential shopping around our meeting mainly bird food, they're going through a feeder a day each of seeds, sunflower hearts, fat balls and square fat. My outgoings are definitely increasing 😂😉.

We were in Upton last year for the Sunshine Festival, great atmosphere, very friendly. We stayed on a local CL but everyone looked to be having a great time in the camping field. Wish I'd managed to get to Cornbury this year though.
