Club site moved since last visit

Back in 1978/79 I visited Littlehampton site several times with my children. When they moved out and with work commitments we stopped caravanning. Recently we started again with a motor home and went back to Littlehampton site. However Its not how I remembered it. I thought it was more in the centre of the town.

Can anyone tell me if I am right and it has moved and if so the road it was in , in 1978 and when it moved to its current location.

    Was Littlehampton not a commercial site back then? In my 2010 site review on my website I mention the Club had recently taken it over.

    Hi Jane and Paul,  you're correct in your recollection the Littlehampton site used to be nearer the centre behind a school on land next to their playing field.  We visited in 1986, it was a non facilities site, and I believe it closed when the landlord i.e. the council took the land back to develop the school.  The new site was indeed previously a commercial site which the club took over and improved we visited that one in 2010 when it opened, haven't been back since as didn't feel it was a great location.
