Having changed our storage facility we are now looking to focus our short term trips in Herts and neighbouring counties. Would love to hear feedback recommendations and otherwise from members using CL''s in the area. Thank you!

Hello lesandang, We have some wonderful CL Sites in Hertfordshire with 5 star reviews. You may find it helpful to have a look at our search by map option on the website to see what's available and have a read of the reviews.Looking forward to also read members recommendations.

We can recommend Stone House Fm, Ware, No.757 in Site Directory. All grass but plenty of room, quiet and good off-road dog walking.

Hello Lesandang.  If you can access the M40 from your Hertfordshire base, then I recommend taking a look at our site in neighbouring Buckinghamshire, which is near Junction 5 of the M40 and about 25 minutes drive from the M25/M40 junction. We are in the heart of the Chilterns AONB and are fairly well booked though early August, but our on-line booking & availability will allow you to see that.  www.cholseygrange.co.uk   Best  Ted & Jackie

This may be a bit too far for you, but Fairys Lodge Farm in Cambridgeshire is a wonderful CL. Peace personified. Either the A1 to the A645 junction SP Kimbolton and St Neots, or the A1198 north to the A428 junction, then to St Neots and then A645 SP Kimbolton.

The site is at Covington, a village about three miles past Kimbolton on the right. Look it up in the site directory.

For some reason, there is a 'glitch' at the moment, and the site is not shown on the website. I can assure you it is still open, as I rang them this very morning to make sure!

I just wonder if they have changed their name, Col. Although I can't see a site on the website at Covington. Strange.

I've just found it.....it's now gone over to the Freedom Caravan network!! Looks like another CL that's fallen out with the Caravan Club!!

We have stayed at Fairy's  Lodge, lovely CL, let's hope it's a glitch and if it hasn't closed it gets reinstated on the Web site.

    Hi All,

I am please to confirm that Fairy's Lodge has not left the CL network, we did experience a technical glitch with their listing town but this has been fixed and they are back on our website.

    Thanks

    Maddie (CL Department)

Thanks Maddie, good to know that Fairy's Lodge  CL hasn't closed. Have noticed that all reviews for the site have been "lost" now though.

Hope no other CL'S have been "lost" from the website due to a glitch. undecided

Is it any wonder that the CC's loosing CLs at an alarming rate with these sort of treatment?

    Hi Nelliethehooker

I'm pleased to confirm that in the past 2 months we have opened 35 new CL sites, which outweighs the number of closures during the same period.

We do not like to lose any CL site and many of those who choose to close have done so for varying reasons. As a Club we are trying to do all that we can within our resources to help and support our CL owners.

It is great to see so many members, such as yourself, support the CL's network and their owners.

    Thanks

    Maddie

That's good news Maddie. Is there any way that we can see which new sites have been added, without having to revert to the club's magazine, which we can't do when our touring? It was easy to do with the old system but can't find a way to do it now.

    Hi Nelliethehooker,

Sorry for the delay in responding to you. Unfortunately that function was not included in the new website and the only way currently is through the magazines.

I have passed your feedback over to the relevant team.

    Thanks

    Maddie

Thanks, Maddie. Hope that they can come up with a way to do it.
