Well it was fun, if you can call not getting to sleep til 2.30am fun, but that was just a blip due to revellers at the pub outside the Baltic Wharf site and we managed to recover!

We were lucky to get a few nights stay at the site and by chance the festival was on, so a bit of a bonus.

We had a great time, there was so much to see and do. A couple of times we just sat outside the site on the waterfront listening to the music and watching boats come in on the high tide. There were some interesting boats to see and a huge variety of music to hear. We were even entertained by an orchestra playing Handel's Water Music on a boat. Considering the deluge that followed it was appropriate timing!

We enjoyed street entertainment, food and just about everything. BBC Radio Bristol set up just outside the SS Gt Britain and provided us with quite a bit of local music, we spent time there enjoying the atmosphere, so I've included a BBC clip see here.

Baltic Wharf was a lovely spot to be in, we'll miss it but if you're visiting the area the festival is a really special event and worth seeing.

    Brue

I have hesitated to delete the duplicate as you never know what will happen!!!

We like Baltic Wharf, ideal for us motorhomers.

Edit - I seem to have hidden the duplication but will keep an eye just in case it causes issues elsewhere.

Thanks all and thanks David for removing the duplicate. smile

I've discovered you need a lot of energy for a big festival but it was good to try it. wink
