Bad reviews
HI,
As a new caravaner and possible new member, I am appalled to read the bad reviews for Grassington, i.e. people walking through others pitches, letting dogs foul etc. Does the club not have control of these situations, obviously not.
Thanks.
Moderator Edit:
Your post has been amended to remove the upper case text, which is considered shouting and is against our T & Cs.
Your post has also been moved into the UK Sites and Touring Section which is more appropriate.

Seems like having the latest caravan/motorhome does not coincide with having basic manners. We saw it at Durham Grange at the weekend an elderly couple (who else ?everyones elderly these days on site ) walk across someones pitch with their dog which pooed on the grass desperate thing . Why they didn't walk around on the path can only be because they have no manners . . , Plonkers .

It's the way of the world and happens on all types of sites, not just club sites.
The mind boggles at the thought of wardens constantly patrolling sites and ticking people off for crossing pitches.

Welcome to our world.......😇 you missed out kids on bikes & speeding cars 👍

I was quite perturbed to learn Wardens no longer salute 'guests' or was that AA employees, mmmm, it must be because I'm post 40yrs old-the mind wanders

Standards definitely aren't what they were.
Whatever happened to blazers and ties? You rarely see them being worn on site now.

You'll soon pick up helpful hints and tips when you join monty. Most Club Sites are very nice, little to upset most folks when you visit. They can get busy during peak times, and as with other aspects of society, there are a selfish uncaring few who occasionally act carelessly and without thought for others. But it is usually better to visit a site and make your own mind up than read some of the stuff others put in reviews. A quiet word with the offending member, or to the Warden usually sorts things, but some prefer to rant and rave on here! Not brave unless unless behind a keyboard!

I agree, it's almost as bad as using a bold type face. ;-)

It's sure not what it used to be.

I find it strange, re this capital letter rule.
It crops up many times with many moans. Who says it's shouting, it seems to have originated in text speak but does it really matter. Does it really matter that people use capitals, bad grammar, bad spelling etc. People understand what is being said.

I agree, it's nothing unless it can't be understood, & it all can be

It's all forums, Harry, not just here. It's generally well accepted that the use of capitals is akin to shouting and is bad manners.

Wasn't me that mentioned CT rules regarding posting in capitals or bold text is considered shouting or not preferred. I merely commented on it being a good idea to visit a few sites prior to believing all the guff that some folks need to write to get a rant out of their system!
Will you be joining then monty?

It's bad manners because using all uppercase letters make reading the message difficult. Lowercase is there for a reason.
