Car transporter turbulence
This might sound odd but on a recent trip to the Dordogne and back all was fine except when coming up behind car transporters. I found the caravan would start to sway quite badly, noticeable even to passenger. Never happens at any other time. Mentioned it to my brother and he gets the same problem.
Anybody else experienced the same problem?

Yes. Airflow from them always seem to be more turbulent than other vehicles. They seem to sway around more too. I always try and get in front of them if possible.

This phenomena has been widely known and discussed on forums for years. Whenever I see one I try to minimise the risk by keeping my distance. I don't need to pass them very often because they usually belt along at the limit on the motorways.

Yes, definitely noticed it, but at least you know what to expect!

What outfit are you driving / towing?

Had this problem a few times but worst with older van I am assuming due to the suspension-or lack of.
My wife only commented recently how much better vans seem nowadays as she recalled a fraught trip up the A34 and countless transporters.

I used to tow at those low speeds too, it was great for lack of sway but the journey took too long Molls. If it works for you-great scheme
