Just booked a stay at Hebden Bridge, hoping to get some good ideas of places to visit.

According to Bing Maps it's 2.5 miles to Hebden Bridge - coming back the hill is quite steep!
Another vote for the Bronte House.
Its not the most dog friendly place on that site - its a walk to get to a good spot for the necessary! Although I did see people not leaving the site for their dogs and not picking up!

B2, there's a decent pavement outside of the gate and about 400m down the hill there's a lane which you can use to get off the road. There are then footpaths from there, all the way up to Stoodley Pike and the Pennine way. All you need is the OS map and the will to climb to the monument!!

Thanks Nellie most helpful, as usual, I can add it to our list.
This is the sort of really useful, honest information, that is often lacking on site descriptions. As someone says its 2.5 miles to Hebden Bridge, that's usually noted but not in the main description.

Yes you could walk from the site on the pavement to the canal and then up to Hebden Bridge. We cycled it and was very nice. If you keep of canal just to the other side of the town there is a nice pub which is on the canal one side and the river the other. You can also do a canal trip from here. We also cycled down the hill to the train station and took our bikes on the train up to Todmorden and went to the market and then cycled back on the canal. We were also going to do this in the other direction to Halifax but ran out of time?
