I have a Truma UGE 10 water heater fitted in a Bailey Olympus caravan and it has stopped working on electric, has any body got any ideas on simple checks or common faults, its about 4 years old and I have checked the fuse in the switched spur and there is power up to this point, it has not been allowed to run dry and water flows through via the hot water tap but it does not warm up?

Any ideas

John

Not trying to hijack this but I've got the same problem however I did switch it on before filling up by mistake. Is that a guaranteed fail or can it be something else? The price of the control board on Bailey site is over £350, hopefully somebody can help advise.

I had the same fault with this system, there is a reset button under a cover at the rear of the unit, awkward to access, when I took the van in for service I asked what the problem was and it did need resetting,

it is also mentioned in the owners manual but not clear how to reset the unit, since being reset its not failed again but reason was unknown.

yes, to ric and ihatework. Try the thermal cut out button (reset) first. If it works on gas then it maybe the thermal switch. It is difficult to access and, with ours, takes quite a bit of force to press it back in.

Hi, realise this is an old topic but just recently discovered that our hot water supply on electric wasn't working.  We noticed the power selection switch wasn't illuminated when on electricity supply. Turned out to be the special truma fuse ,located behind the black cover at the front of the truma boiler. Difficult to access but sorted by our service engineer . Just over £.5.00 and available on line from Amazon.
