What happened to "Site of the Week"?

It's two weeks now since Kendal was listed on this section as "Site of the Week". Seemed like a good idea at the time! So what was last week's "Site of the Week"? What is this week's?

Harold Wilson once said "a week is a long time in politics" - not half as long as on CT, apparently!!  wink

I assume that was it! It was a good idea, informative for those thinking about visiting a site, and I was looking forward to hearing about others sites, both those that I've been to and others.

maybe the negative, but in my view truthful, comments about Kendal may 'confuse' (is that the word of the week on CT?) readers?

The next site appeared on FB but not on here. I thought it was a good idea until I saw the negative comments which is fine by me but won't be much good for increasing bookings! wink

It was unfortunate that the first Site Of The Week was one most of us heartily disliked but, if you're going to launch these things, you should surely make sure they float rather than sink without trace.

Well I heartily liked Kendal.... laughing But alas the project does seem to have sunk without trace.

Perhaps they got a new tin of biscuits at HO. Much more important, the tea drinking.

Thought the initial site of the week thread was simply aimed at increasing posts.

If the club wish to concentrate on facebook that is up to them. Not my scene

A site of the week could be a good idea, if it was carried on where it was started, ie on CT.  In common with some others on here, I don't "do" FB.The cynic in me wonders whether Kendal was short of bookings at the time of posting here......

What happened to "Site of the Week"?

Maybe it's in hiding a bit like caravanner of the year?

I think Kendal would be a bad choice to start off the idea as it is possibly the one most likely to divide opinions being very heavily wooded. I think the clubs blurb on it is misleading and needs to make people more aware of just how thick the trees are there. The big bonus is that you can have winds outside sufficient to make towing dangerous and hardly know there is any wind when deep inside the site.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback and we're delighted you found Site of the Week an interesting and informative idea. As such we will continue with this on Club Together and our site for this week is Hebden Bridge Club Site and you can take part in the discussion here: Site of the Week - Hebden Bridge Club Site smile

I raised this on Facebook yesterday when I saw the new Site of the Week for Hebden Bridge and received the following reply, along with several others today.

Hi Phil, I understand Rowena started the discussion this morning, , if Club Together members find this discussion topic interesting, then we will continue to post but what we don’t want are the discussions to become a bit repetitive ^Kathy
