Single, Solo , Unattached, Widowed caravan travele
Hi
I have just joined the Solo's group online and would be interested to know if any members are keen to travel abroad as 'Solo's.
I left the Uk on 10 April this year and travelled through Spain towing my caravan, stayed in the South of Spain for 10 days and then joined an escorted tour around Morocco, still towing the caravan, for three weeks. I am am now heading for the South of France and will be returning to the Uk in late August.
Is this the sort of thing others would be interested in doing next year?

Hi David,
This is something I would be interested in - I'd like to see your blog too if you have one. I have a camper van which I bought a couple of years ago - I'm just back from a solo trip to North Norfolk. I enjoy my travels but it would also be great to join up with others travelling solo from time to time - its the evenings that drag for me too - so the company around a barbeque of likeminded solo travellers would be a welcome change. I would also be interested to hear about the Solos group online you mention - is this community part of the Caravan Club?
Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

Perhaps the Solo's could make use of the Story section to post blogs and pictures of their trips?

I need to go in and finish the trip. Once I got home other things got in the way.
Try finding out about the newcompanions.org.uk. They have meets on Club sites all over the UK. While I was abroad a few of us meet up at different sites. The person I went out with is a friend from the NCCC.

Solos is still alive and kicking and has loads of members on the Facebook page. For even more trips out I have joined the New Companions. They work differently than Solos, and to be honest I find it hard to be up, dressed, both my dog and myself fed and watered, plus walked by the 10 am meets. With Solos we see each other as and when in the mornings, giving people a change to get up as they please etc, but gives a social life from approx 7pm a social life until we depart for bed.

Hi Vivien. The NCCC 10am get together is not compulsory! There are plenty of people who are never seen that early in the morning. We just open our blind a couple of inches to show we are still in the land of the living. Its only when I am the host that I am always at the 10am.
