Can you please help me can you re gas caravan fridges as mine is not getting cold or have I got to replace it thanks mr I Walters

    Might help if you gave age and make etc. Is it the same on gas and also electric?

    Can you feel warmth from the top vents behind the fridge outside the van

    Fridge name and model would help as there are two types of fridges.

    compressor (rather like a domestic) or other which run on 12v battery when engine running, or 240v, or gas.

    If gas has settled, it can help to remove the fridge and turn it upside down for 12 hours.

    Fridge is a domestic 3 way I have just turned it on to gas to see if it starts to get cold as I am away it was working when we arrived I think I will have to get a mobile fitter out will I get charged over the top thanks for the replies ivan

    Is your van level, as that can affect the fridge working.

    Damn! Our fridge just packed up on electric. Gas seems OK.

    Depending on age you used to have a little spy hole through which you could see the pilot light when on gas. The gas igniters are prone to corrosion and I had to have them replaced on one of my caravans.

    That's a shame isn't it? The op may well have had something which the forum could help with if he'd percevered.
