Why is there no defence from the manufacturers?

I have not had the opportunity to test the towing of the Hymer against the Coachman but we have had six British caravans and all have towed well and we have had no complaints on that. The build quality may not be the same, but I cannot agree on the towability point, although sometimes it does seem a car and caravan will not match for no obvious reason. If there was a problem then I think it was a freak one.
We did have a Coachman for ten years and had no problems, in fact the only problem we have had is with damp is the current Lunar and I am still waiting to hear from them on that one.
The real problem is British caravans are generally built to be light weight which involves some compromise, but there is also a lack of quality control. I would like a caravan built like the Hymer but the weight is beyond our cars towing ability. I am afraid you just have live with what suits your pocket.
