Truma combi boiler control

l have just changed my caravan to Coachman 2014 460 VIP, l have seen the Video online on the CP plus digital control panel, most of it l have got to grips with, their is one part that's giving me difficulty. According to the instruction video, their is a facility to set the fan on vent which circulates the air round the van to keep it cool. The procedure is to select fan press the centre button to turn it on, it then goes on to say turn the knob to select vent confirm by pushing the centre button, then turn the control knob to desired fan speed i.e. 1 to 10. Now here's my problem when l select fan and turn it from the off position to on l turn the knob it goes to the next option which is  the timer icon, l can't get the vent up. l rang the tech support at my dealer and he say's that facility is not on my controller, has anyone out their got this problem, l can't see why Truma would take this facility out. can someone confirm this is so. otherwise l will need to get confirmation from Truma l know its not a big deal but at the moment l am unsure if the fan is working, l have had the heating on but this week with the temp in the van 28 plus it won't come on, the fan symbol seems to be correct has its blade highlight from eco to high to boost correctly. Any suggestions would be helpful
