I have purchased an awning for my Bailey Senator Oklahoma 2003 that requires 3 mounting brackets for the poles just below the upper part of the awning rail and one mounting bracket adjacent to each vertical part of the awning rail. Can the brackets be mounted adjacent to the rail at these points, I.e. Would I be screwing the brackets into the wooden frame. I assume that sealant should be applied to both the screws and bracket before installation. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

On the awning there should be some beading on the inside, you need clamps like the photo, these clamp to the beading in the position you want and the poles hook into the clamp. If no beading then get some rubber suckers for the poles to go in.

Not all awnings have the clamps that Chris mentions, some have screw on brackets and some have large suction cups,it all depends on the make of awning. If you bought the awning from a dealer they should have supplied all the parts and be able to advise on fitting.
