Llanberis

I would suggest it depends on how big/long your outfit is, as it isn't wide, has stone walls either side and likely to have a lot of cycles, car tourists ambling along looking at scenery, and possibly some walking groups. Could be a tight squeeze if you encounter a coach/other van coming other way.

We have towed up and down it, but a long time ago when roads were quieter, and with a small van in tow. Remember goats and fallen rocks were a hazard back then, but not as many cyclists.

Fabulous drive if you are not towing!

Hi Hooker 128, I towed down the pass last year enroute to Morris Leisure Site at Llanberis, there is 1 section that is rather tight on a double bend. I have Swift Challenger 565 it is not as long as some outfits.

Would I do it again? that depends where I was travelling from, I returned home via A55 so didn't tow back up the pass.

It is driveable, I drove from betys y coed to Llanberis without the caravan earlier this year with a view to taking the caravan a few days later.

I decided it would be driveable BUT decided that by taking the route suggested by Morris Leisure was a lot easier and faster and far less concerning.

I feel I was correct in my decision (I'm always for the easier life)
