We've been caravanning successfully for 6 years, and 5 years before that with a motorhome, and have never owned any "wedges".  In fact the only time we've had to level slightly, with blocks under the front steadies, was on a hardstanding at Stamford site in March this year.

Don't know where you all find these super level pitches undecided Though we've not needed to level our caravan side to side every time we pitch, we have  more often than not ...... on one CL we've stopped at a few times, I even had to build a small wall under one side on once. cool So far with our twin axle, I've  only needed 2 pieces of off cut decking under each wheel on one side. I/we like a level caravan .... especially for sleeping.

    Nor do I.

Being a CL fan I only stay on commercial sites as a last resort and 9 times out of 10 use levellers.

I has never crossed my mind that using levellers is demanding or tedious.

Yes I agree, I suppose its all about tolerance? I can always 'feel' if the van isn't level quite well and its bothers me.  Many times I've complained to the family about it not being level and they say that it is! (this is usually when they have arrived before me and set up) and so I level more times than not on club sites. I agree its not hard at all with a motor mover, just put the wedge under the appropriate wheel and use the mover to do the work, a few minutes at most.

When having a social  drink in other's caravans over the year I am always amazed and what others put put with, but if they're happy then it's totally up to them.

If you don't fall out of bed, it's level.

As long as the St Emilion completely fills the glass, it's level.

We do the mug of tea test.  It always looks pretty level to me. smile
