Help, as we come from up north and most access directions go from south or west we sometimes have to guess as to the best way to get to the cl we are staying at. This time its near Rousden West Dorset, we would usually use main roads for obvious reasons but on looking on o/s map from Axminster A328 towards Seaton turning onto A3052 towards Lyme Regis  the A3052 looks very steep and hilly, does anyone know this area well enough as the alternative appears to be to turn off A358 south of Axmister onto A35 and turn right onto yelow marked Trinity Hill down to A3052 and thro to Rousden

Stick to the first of your alternatives.

It is a steep hill but the trinity route is narrow so the main Axmouth route towards Lyme  is your best bet. Lots of vans on this route you will be OK. Don't come via Lyme!

take A358  from the Ilminster  roundabout, then A3052 at Axmouth toward Lyme. I live in this area.

Hope you enjoy that lovely part of Devon and Dorset. It is a bit hilly in parts but that's what makes it attractive. Have a go on the Seaton tram if you've got time. It's not far from Rousden. smile
