Oh dear!
We are very disappointed with the new signage at the entrance to sites. The old green one was a welcoming and EASY TO SPOT after a long tow. The new ones are awful and really the type is too indistictive to spot, especially where there are other advertising or signage boards. Surely something more distinctive could have been designed!!! The general consensus of people we spoke to on sites was that this really is an issue the Club will have to address.

Why will they have to address it?
The decision's been made. You'll soon get used to the new signs.

You'll soon get used to the new signs.
As in - "not seeing the signs"!

As Has been posted previously-if you need a sign put up in loud/bold colours to help you find your destination then you either ain't done your homework or your eyesight may need checking. It's here to stay I'd guess.

On our last visit to a club site I found myself looking out for the bright white and turquoise of the sign. I spotted it a fair way down the lane. 👍🏻

I find the new logo very easy to spot, it is clear and distinctive.

I'm no fan of the new signage, but if that's all you can find to comment on after staying at a club site or CL maybe caravanning's not the hobby for you!
We've stayed at 2 club sites and 3 CLs since the change - to be honest the signage is the last thing on my mind!

After travelling 150 miles the last 4 miles on a single track road with passing places not large enough for a car and caravan and then to miss the entrance to the cl all because of the new stupid sign it does not stand out like the old one did ,is this progress I don't think so.

Many thanks for your feedback. As part of the Club's new identity, we have been updating our signage across our sites to reflect the new brand. CLs have updated their signage too. We recognise that some sites are harder to find than others, and we’re looking at what we can do to improve signage across the network.
As always your feedback is welcome to help us make improvements where possible.

Surely the only improvement that can be made is the costly ditching of the new signs and replacing them with something that can be seen.🙄

They are easy to see once you have sen them.

Signs look absolutely fine to me.
Nowadays, if you're relying on signage to find your way to any site, you probably haven't done your homework properly. Surely with google maps, earth & street view etc, it takes minutes to familiarise yourself with the final stages of the journey, taking note of obvious 'markers' along the way.

I think the white area makes them stand out.
Beats me how you can crawl carefully down a single track lane and not see the entrance. I'd understand it if someone was driving far too fast for the conditions though.

Depends on the location and the handbook instructions from the CAMC.
Just takes 5 mins to check out the actual location, site entrance, stopping places if we're a tad early, passing places and where the first signs are.
Common sense approach to me. 😉

I also find it strange that anyone should tow any great distance to their destination and then rely solely on a small sign of any colour to pinpoint their stopping place. But does no-one else use (OK, old fashioned!) OS maps these days? All CL details give grid references - I just use these to locate where I'm ending up. Never failed me yet!

I presume if you are using Google maps on your phone then aren't driving?

You look it up in advance, Phil.

We have not had a problem spotting the new signs so far although they are not as easy to see and we have mostly used sites we have used before. White signs are far more common on the roads so the clubs ones could be overlooked in the mass of others, and the green was far more distinctive.

Wildwood, Its happened, daft I agree, but they've done it, and thats that!
But you don't HAVE to accept it, if you don't like it. I just ignore it. - As far as I'm concerned, I joined the Caravan club, and for me thats what it will remain. I only ever refer to it as the CC and don't recognise the new one. Job Done!

I passed a CC site recently (won't disclose which one in case they get in trouble with Management) who had the foresight to update their sign on one side of the board only. Therefore it was CC on the main route towards the site and CAMC on the reverse.
Incidentally, I was delighted to see an internet ad the other day for an outdoor leisure club which promised a whole host of benefits for a £48 joining fee. It was for a club which had a nice red pennant with a white 'CC' in the middle. Looked quite appealing. Anyone know which club that's for?
