Have a good time Millie, nice for the family to meet up on site, hope the campers enjoy their new tent.
We're ready for the off too, first stop a non EHU C&CC site near the south coast, £9.60 for the night.
We've just heard we've got a place on a rally on the Devon coast, so that's our next trip sorted. We were on the waiting list, will look forward to a different type of break. Trying to "mix" things this year.

Milliehull how lovely to be joined by the family of site. Have a great time hopefully the weather will be good too.
Brue have a great time on your travels.
We've booked a rally for the Bristol balloon festival no facilities, I'm trying to get him to do these for longer - but slowly slowly catch the monkey. We're at home until 17 June as hubby has managed to break crowns dither side of his mouth, he will not learn 😢given up Thornton toffee but attacking wine gums..........
Our rose has survived remarkably well thankfully. Turned really warm here again in fact the budleia is curling over at the top again already 😲.
Sitting in the garden head in the shade legs in the sun knitting and browsing on here whilst we wait for friends to arrive late afternoon. We're having a take out dinner, real treat for us all, I have prepared Scottish strawberries for pudding. Be good to catch up.
Tammygirl sounds like a great time. My cousins husband would have been amongst the Harley-Davison lot in the south of France he goes most years.
Enjoy your day folks.

If TG is going for a Harley trike, she'll have to get the tattoos to go with it.
I've filled the third hippo bag this week with shrub cuttings but at least there garden will look reasonably respectable when we eventually get away in the van. Sold my two Calorlites this afternoon as well, so a good day's work.

I remember seeing those in Paris many years ago. Not seen many over here, but quite a few in France.
When we went to the Isle of White once there was a Honda Goldwing convention there (a friendly lot too) and they were everywhere we went on the island, including lots of trikes.
Why not a bike?

Flew down to Tatenhill in Staffordshire today. A relatively short hop, but wanted to be home early to finish sorting out for the off tomorrow.
Flew over Chatsworth and Alton Towers.
Nice little airfield. Rather a bumpy ride, due to a lot of thermal activity. Had our lunch and a cup of tea sat on the picnic benches in the sun, chatting to a local pilot. Most pleasant

How do you know I've not already got them
Why not a bike?
OH doesn't have a m/bike license, he had his CBT booked when he found out that if you have 3 wheels you can drive them on your car license, so we now have a Peugeot Metropolis 400c. Have to say this holiday its had a fair bit of use, weather has been perfect for it.
I'd love a Honda Goldwing trike, now they are a bike and half, seen a few with little trailers, what a set-up great touring bikes.
Bakers2, there were quite a few bikes from UK we were talking to a few of them, not sure where in UK they came from though.

Bob lives in Eastbourne I know lots go from round that way but don't know whether there are other areas that go.
PS he doesn't have tattoos, well not any that show 😉

Must have been a day for M/H washing today, we did ours on site this morning. Then this afternoon we went to Switzerland on the trike, its only about 20km from the site we are on and seeing as its all minor roads we didn't need to get a vignette. Some of the high peaks still have snow on them but the views were not so good today as the clouds were a bit lower. On the way back we stopped by the lake for a drink and to take in the views. While we sat there we saw 2 separate birds of prey swoop over the lake then dive down and grab a fish, one after the other. They both went off into the hills behind us, I wonder if they have young in a nest somewhere, what a treat to see it.
Horrendous thunderstorm early evening, wind came from nowhere lashing rain and thunder claps deafening. OH and the Frenchman next to us had to go rushing over to help another M/H'er who's canopy had started to collapse, the wind had took hold of it. By the time OH had got to him he was in a right pickle, the canopy was filling with water, he had a washing line fastened to it full of washing and couldn't get it undone. It took 3 of them to hold it up/down while his wife managed to undo it. They finally managed to wind it in but its not clicked in properly, he will have to look at it tomorrow. The rain was so heavy the site roads for awhile flooded, they soon cleared though which was good to see. It stopped raining soon after but its started again.

That's right, brue. The shop is still there in Garlieston and there's a post office and shop too. The pub there seems popular! We also bought £20 worth of diesel at the shop, from the fuel pump outside, which enabled us to get to Dumfries.

We also saw some Tesco delivery vans during our journey to Garlieston.

Thanks, David.
We left Garlieston at about 10:30 a.m. and drove through the Argyll forest towards Ayr. Lovely scenery and roads that were virtually traffic free which was just as well because one of the roads was single track with passing places which were not long enough for our outfit to fit into. We did encounter one car coming the other way which reversed into a passing place to let us through.
We arrived on the site in Ayr at lunchtime.

We didn't do any sight-seeing in Dumfries as we needed to get the food back to our caravan fridge. We used the electric cool box in the car for the shopping but we couldn't park and leave the car because the cool box goes off when the engine is switched off. However, we enjoyed the drive there and back through some spectacular scenery and roads that were almost free of traffic apart from the occasional tractor.

It was a shame you didn't have time to explore the area around Garlieston, as it is a beautiful place to explore. Hope you can get more time to enjoy the area at your next few sites.

Went to a lovely little community market in a village hall yesterday, lots of home grown vegetables, together with bread, cakes and savoury pastries. Came away with a large bag of stuff. Also bought some duck eggs, they make excellent cakes.
Had a wander round Chipping Norton, but another place that seems to have lost a lot of shops, sad really.
Off to Lechlade today for a vintage show, sun is shining so hoping it will be a lovely day out.
Millie sage trip to Cromer, hope you have a great time.

In my last post I meant Galloway Forest not Argyll Forest. I agree H&T that we could have done more if we had stayed longer, perhaps next time we'll try to give each place a bit more time.
We plan to visit Culzean Castle and Country Park today which is about half an hours drive from the club site. Admission charges for two of us would have cost £31 but we get in free because of our NT membership.
Tomorrow we go on to North Ledaig for two nights, a journey of about 3 hours.

Another glorious day here. Awoke to the shocking news from the capital 😢. Actually alerted by our daughter in NZ in her text.
Had a great day yesterday friends over, housework wasn't really necessary as we sat in the garden, but ate take away in the dining room, until 9.30 when they left.
Off to mums to do some outside painting and garden tidying. Just lifted our dinner from the freezer to defrost, I love homemade prepared meals 😉.
Stay safe folks whatever you do.

We're down in Cornwall for the week. Had a very straightforward journey down yesterday ( the dualling of the A30 at Temple is still not finished but no major problem early in the morning). In fact we got down here too early, the garden centre cafe wasn't open so breakfast had to be put on hold! Lovely day weatherwise, walked across Penhale Dunes to the lost church avoiding the shanty town (aka Haven Perran Sands! ) and sorted out one or two little jobs around the van.
Very wet start this morning but brightening up nicely now. Hoping to go to Crantock and Pentire this afternoon to see the poppy fields which were looking spectacular last week, so hope the earlier rain hasn't ruined them!
Have a great time at Seacroft, Millie. Hope you're enjoying Scotland, Malcolm and hope everyone else who's away is having a good time.

,Another day at the B/yd.Sunny 22, and high broken cloud.Got the road roller out today to compact some newly spread plannings .Good reliable old beast ,1947 !! British engineering at it's best .

Disgraceful that tricky ! Had it been a Steam Roller you could have charged us for watching !
I'm allowed to be a bit grumpy now 'cos I had a snooze whilst listening to the Limited Overs Cricket ( India V Pakistan ) & got woken by a strange Bleeping Noise ( not being rude !! ) one of the Smoke alarms decided it's battery needed a replacement -- so hunt for the battery, get the step stool, replace the step stool { too small } open Workshop ( shed) dig out the steps, stagger up the stairs, grab the battery, shin up steps, bang bonce on ceiling replace battery, replace steps in W/shop then check date on old battery. The bleeping thing has only lasted five (5) months -- they dont make 'em like they used to !! Now where did I put the paracetamol ,, ,, ,, ,,

After a wet start, it's been a glorious afternoon. So here are some pictures of the North Cornish coast at its best - Porth Joke, Crantock Bay and West Pentire Head with the headland at Newquay in the background.
