Having problems locking my car.  Back doors lock using button on key fob but have to use key in door to lock the front doors . Now noticed deadlocks not setting when button pressed and lights not flashing as usual when set. Just wondered if anyone else has same problem or ideas about this before going to Ford garage and getting it plugged into their computer. ( Probably for about £100 ) Know there are a lot of Mondeo owners out there so hoping for some replies.

I wouldn't have thought that your car should deadlock via the button on the door, other wise there's the chance of dad locking yourself in the car, rather than locking people out of it. Is this BOTH front doors that fail to lock via the fob?If just one, I'd suggest a door locking motor undecided

I had a problem with the doorlocks and fob on my X-Trail earlier this year. After I locked the doors at  caravan dealership and walked away from the car the alarm sounded. My key fob would not work and I walked away. When I came back key fob not working. Only the drivers door has a key operation. Unable to open any other doors no matter what. Deadlocked.

Phoned a friend of a neighbour who is an auto electrics guy. He suggested that the alarm was a warning that the system had failed and probably a blown fuse ..... but which. He said that the handbook would not show and he was correct. I did some googling and discovered that, of my two fuse compartments, it was probably the fuse box under the steering wheel ad on a similar model of the previous year had been the fuse at the top right. It was.
