Your bank holiday weekend with pictures
What's everyone up to this sunny weekend?
Whether you're at the National, staying on a CL or Club Site or have gone overseas, it would be great to hear your plans and see your pictures of your bank holiday weekend.
I'm with the family on our way to Sandringham for the National. We're stopping off near Cambridge on the way to take Sam to Shepreth Wildlife Park. Pictures to follow...

We tend to avoid Bank Holiday weekends, one of the luxuries of being retired. We came back from Cromer yesterday and were amazed at how many caravans and motorhomes were heading in the opposite direction, grid lock at Kings Lynn!!! I now realise where they were all heading!!!!

Well I'm happy to be at home after nine hours on the motorway yesterday!

Not complicated at all anymore, especially from a pad. It is in my opinion one thing that is better with the new site. OK they only post as resizable thumbnails but can be produced in less than a minute.
Our weekend on a plate. Fruits of the sea. One reason we like comming to France.

Strange that my pics are all too big to post from my Pad and need resizing. It's too much faff. Anyway, we don't go away at bank hols as it's far too busy out there.
Thats a fair old collection of cuddly toys, Stevie.

Yes we have got a fair collection, tend to pick them up from where we visit. However, have had to cut back as space is limited.
All of mine are too big as well TW. However, I downloaded a really good app which resizes them and saves them in photos. As I said takes about a minute at most. The method of using a cloud storage site, required on the old system, was not practical with the pad. At least now it is possible. I do agree it would be much better if it was as easy as with WhatsApp. But you never know perhaps in a million years or so.😇

I can see you're clearly an avid collector of cuddly toys.
Compared with other forums this one is still in the dark ages. It really shouldn't be necessary to have to use a resizing app.

I understood the resize was required because the clubs servers were struggling. I suppose if the Club used the resizing app, it would have to pay for the privilege, so an extra cost. Individuals can use it for free.
Unless of course it wrote its own. Of course we all know how that would end up.😱

As we were driving back down from Newcastle on Friday lunchtime, the north-bound queue on the A1 in the roadworks around Scotch Corner must have been at least 5 miles long.
There were a lot of motorhomes and caravans in it and I'd guess that a lot of them would be heading for the A66 to the Lake District. I reckon a good couple of hours would be added to their journey and it was swelteringly hot.
Saddest sight was a poor guy at the side of the road going south, who must have had a blow out in his off-side caravan tyre. There was a lot of damage to the side of his caravan around the wheel arch area. Felt really sorry for him.

To resize photos on an Android phone go into photo gallery and find export, reduce to 500, it's easy to do and the resized photos can be retrieved easily. On Windows 10 go into file explorer, find pictures, click on a chosen photo, click edit, then "resize", reduce the photos to 500 pixels. Hover over the photos when looking for the one you want, it will tell you which photo you have reduced to 500.
Have a go.

I’ve just been teaching myself about our dashcam & so got this car which was turning & came back up the access slip road to dual carriageway earlier this week. IMHO it’s good to learn new things.

Brue I have a slightly older android than yours and if I want to post a photo I have to email to myself, only place I've actually found it to reduce bytes, actual on the gallery still leaves them to large for this site. It seems everyone has a work around to post here. Should I wish to post on fb, rarer than hens teeth 😉, but I just click on photo. It's the same with instant messaging get to. From what I've read it is easier to post photos on this 'improved' webpages but certainly not one click.
I do love to see the photos but too much faffing on my part to post any.

We had a lovely day yesterday at Shepreth Wildlife Park (pics below).
At the National today and it has been great so far. Sam has been thoroughly spoilt by everyone and has had a great time and the sun has been shining.

Thanks Steve. Such a lovely age and he's learning so so much and growing up so fast.
I will ask about the pictures as I'm not sure why they do this.

Live from the National. Such a lovely day and good fun had by all.
Some of the highlights for me include the club together get together, the vintage caravan area and the stunning location.
Here's some of my pics.

Lovely photos Rowena. Enjoy these days they grow up and away so fast. (You do get your life back a bit 😉). I'm viewing on android phone and your latest photos are 2 right way up 2 wrong way, flowers completely upside down and portraitist landscape.
Stormy here in Essex if you're reading this be prepared. Nice steady rain and little crashing and banging - so far 😉
Edit your portrait photos on your previous post are landscape too on my device.

Thanks for all the photos Rowena, looks nice at Sandringham. Sam must have had a good day!
Think we'll have to sort this photo business out, it's so frustrating for many. I had a look at the photo instructions on "How to use CT" but I need better glasses to read them.

F Y I Rowena when you get back in the office of course. 2nd lot of photos showed on my laptop like this. 1st 3 had 2 on their side. Guess it's all down to the hardware/software we each use.
