I have lost half my enjoyment

People who have caravans, motor homes or camp are all the same nice persons we get on with but we like different ways of enjoying ourselves. I have no interest in camping or motorhomes so I joined the caravan club. Now half the magazine is of no interest to me and I suspect that motor home owners are not intrested in the inside of my caravan so although the mag is the same size it is trying to cater for two different type of interests. Whoever in HQ who thought this marriage up might try to give me a full magazine and also give people with motor homes their "full" mag, not just tweak the odd article to be inclusive. Half the discussions are also of no interest to half the membership. Pull your finger out and give both types of member their full quoter, not just split up what we had already.

Since caravaners seem to be in the minority maybe they have the balance about right. surprised

Club sites have facilities for motorhomes and are used extensively by motorhomes so I think that the magazine is simply reflecting the reality of the membership. I do agree that it makes the mag. a bit of a mishmash though. Perhaps if tents suddenly had a resurgence of interest the Club would need yet another name change and the magazine content also change again - The CC&M perhaps?

Gee, thanks for making me feel wanted, DJG. That's quite a biased view typical, perhaps, of those who gave the club it's unfortunate image. Whatever happened to tolerance and inclusivity?

Motorhomers have been part of the club for years or had it escaped your notice?

I'm obviously more open minded than you as I'm interested in all types of LVs.

Never read the magazine these days and not for last 5 years or more. The content is not what it was, the reviews are poor, the letter page was the best bit .

    Like your post huskydog.

M’homers have been using club sites for a long time so including them & their interests as best they can in the magazine is IMHO to be expected now.    Perhaps the OP may consider getting in touch directly with HO regarding his views about the content of the magazine.

Am I missing something here. There's been reviews of both motorhomes and caravans for years, usually with a tow car review as well. Together with the letters those are the only bits of the magazine which I can be bothered to read these days. I thought the review of the motorhome in this month's magazine was fairly balanced pointing out flaws as well as good points.

why, don't you like ypur product reviews to be objective?

rather than some piece that panders to the (paying for advertising) manufacturers....

whats communism got to do with wanting a 'reviewer' to do their job?

Agree. That reviews are so afraid of saying anything negative about adverisers that they are totally pointless.

Would you say your glass is half full or half empty......😵 I always understood that the CC website / magazine was for both users of caravan or motorhome  & as been for many years  , why on this green earth would a mere change of club / company name make the slightest difference now is totally beyond me .

After what's happening in the world today  , I'm sure people should have more important things to worry about ......or possibly they need to address their life style values.......😘 or even choose another interest to invest in .
