There are two post titles on these forums with the title 'Site Prices' - one post has 1 reply and the other post  allegedly 13 replies.

Yes, one has 1 reply  - but so does the other.

Any ideas where the remaining 12 replies have gone?

Or is it just me who can't see them?

Sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not. Sometimes accessing the thread from a different starting point works, sometimes not.

It's all part of the mess that is the duplicate thread issue.

Almost 6 months now and the site's still not right!!!

Another example of this is the two/one thread(s) 'Lazy Recyling' - which runs to five or six 'pages,  and on "each" of them you can sometimes see the first page of replies, and the very last post, but at other times you can see only the first five posts.

Not long ago one of the staff members said they were going to be a little more proactive in responding to threads where input would be benificial. I have not seen much sign of this, perhaps they would like to start by giving us some information on when this problem is likely to be fixed. As I cannot report my own post I will report one of those above and ask.

As I mentioned elsewhere I have discussed this with Rowena and I think she is discussing it with IT this week.

But surely as the CAMC face of CT, Rowena should be a damn site more proactive instead of just popping up every now and again, making vague promises and then going all quiet again. Users have been complaining about CT for six months and the fixes have been minimal to say the least.

I'm so sorry for not replying sooner. I don't personally fix the errors on the website and have only just taken over the defect and problems with the forum in the last couple of weeks (one of which I was off). Please be assured I completely understand members frustrations and will do my utmost to try and move fixes forward so you can see an improvement on the forum. There are a number of defects logged and our IT team are working through these. I've been speaking to them regarding the duplicate discussions problem, which is creating missing replies as there is more than 1 discussion in existence. I have requested an update on this and will post on here as soon as I know more. Many thanks and my sincere apologies again for the problems you are experiencing.

Sorry but without a properly designed and coded forum patches just don't work.

Why ever did we waste our time posting on the 'Snagging List' thread when we really knew the results.

At least the majority of members have accepted things or simply gone away!

I stopped posting on that thread long ago. Reason was that there seemed little feedback (if any) regarding what faults had been logged, which were being addressed and the general state of play. So as CC didn't seem interested in communicating I thought 'why bother?'

I am at the point of giving up again on here. I can go on the site I am a mod on read through every post, comment, mod when required etc in 15/20 minutes and all runs smoothly with none of the awful performance problems on here. If we hit any problems the owners of the base system have always resolved them within 24 hours (Yes 1 day).

I honestly cannot afford an hour plus a day just to catch up new posts😡

I started a thread about the difference in response on Facebook and CT. On fb named staff reply to every comment. Including on the new site signage. I put that in the mentioned thread. I have yet to see comments on CT in any similar vein.

On fb someone mentioned about not seeing new signs, response was we are looking at the siting of these to ensure they are well positioned. Flannel maybe but a least it was a response after 1 post unlike a similar thread that's run for pages on CT.

We have so few posters now and there's far less activity these days. A real shame because I've learned loads from here. So much better than fb as there are threads even if the search for them is difficult.

I too think it's a shame, Bakers2.  Forums are a good way of exchanging information and learning.

It should be easier to find threads on here, posts shouldn't go 'missing', threads shouldn't be duplicated, posts shouldn't become 'a bit of a mystery' when they appear and disappear depending on which way you access them, and then perhaps posters might stay around.  At the moment there are so many issues with the forum that I really do think it is putting people off.

Hi Bakers2, I'm really sorry that you feel you don't get responses on Club Together like you do on Facebook. We are looking to address this and have asked our social media agents to monitor and respond on Club Together. If a discussion does unfortunately get missed that you feel should have a response from the Club please feel free to report any comment or discussion requesting a reply. Please be assured we do value Club Together and really appreciate the advice that is shared on the forum. We are listening to your feedback and will do our best to improve your experience on the community.

    Hi everyone,

I have an update on the duplicate discussions. The IT team have now got a technical fix to remove the existing duplicate discussions. They are in the process of identifying which discussions have been affected and will then apply the fix to these.

We're also investigating a fix that will prevent this from occurring in the future.

I sincerely apologise for the problems this has caused you and will keep you updated on progress to this fix.
