Thetford fridge fault N3000 series

i noticed excessive heat coming out of the fridge vent on my tall fridge freezer when cleaning the awning rail. I had switched on the fridge to cool is ready for going away for the weekend. On investigation there was an error code flashing on the fridge control panel, error 13 and spanner. On consulting the handbook, it gave the info error code 13 consult dealer/service centre.  For other members info. The fault is a faulty Thermistor,( thermostat) which can be found attached to the fins in the fridge,. I contacted the dealer picked up a replacement and fitted the new one in about 5 mins. Dead easy. ( they cost just short of £20 and most dealers stock them, free under warranty .)

Fridge then worked normally again.  Glad I solved it before my 6 week holiday to France. The fridge seemed to have continued working but did not switch off on reaching the desired temperature, so if you get error 13 you are now fully informed. But not good on a 5 month old van.
