1st Timers with our first 2 nights under our belts
Hi Everyone,
Brian & Sue with Bailey our dog,
We live in West Sussex & have just got our new (old) 21yr old twin axle caravan.
This came complete with an Isabella awning & we had to see if it was all there so booked 2 nights away at the Battle Normanhurst Court site.
We arrived around 7pm on Friday night so left putting up the awning until Saturday morning.
A nice couple help us to erect it as we were not sure if it was all there.
Well it is all there & it is huge, The same size as the caravan !
We did not try the bedroom extension as will leave that for another time.
Just need to get a few things like new leisure battery (130ah) & a 100w Solar panel for our festival trip (Sunshine festival, August bank holiday weekend) & an awning matting to make the awning a bit more feet friendly)
We look forward to more adventures & hopefully meeting some of you.
Cheers for now
Brian, Sue & Bailey.

Well done, we use a 150w folding solar panel which does for us off grid, which is most of the time now, also we like cycling and have a dog, so take the dog with us in his 'doggyride'

Hi, Brian & Sue. Welcome to CT.
Enjoy your van - it sounds as if you've pretty much got things sussed.

Hi Brian and Sue.
Welcome to Club Together and to caravanning. Glad you enjoyed your first outing to Battle. If you are looking for a groundsheet there are many types to look at. Of more recent years we have used an 'Easitread' type. We have found them very hard wearing - I reckon we've had our current groundsheet for about 10 years and there's still a lot of life left in it. We use it on all sorts of surfaces.
Do keep us up to date on how you are doing, and if you have any questions there are plenty of useful sections to go at.

Thank you for the quick replies everyone.
I will look at the Easitread ground sheet.
Just off to order the solar panel etc.
I will do a photo story of the install if it can help anyone else.
