Hi, has anyone towed with the 1,6i dtec Honda crv, my current caravan is the Avondale dart 510.

    Wouldn't want to risk it. Admittedly engines are more powerful now than in the past, but some years ago ended up with a courtesy 2l petrol C-RV to replace a 2l diesel Toyota tugging a 1000kg van - worked, but much less power.

    Don't forget also to take into account the weight of the tug itself - just guessing, but would think a c-RV is heavier than a standard car. Decided to have a look at the new Civic Tourer myself - the 1.8 V-tec petrol, currently pulling 1250kg with a 2l diesel.
