In praise of Club Sites
I object to the whole idea of Club sites - the pitch markers, the orderly spacing, everbody glued to their TV sets, the cumbersome wastemasters wheeled here and there, all the rules and regulations, the fact that you have to book at busy times and they aren't really touring sites etc. - the list goes on and on, BUT ...
I took the Motorhome up to Malvern Hills site partly for a pre-season run but mainly for the "Morgan Driving Experience" the next day. OH stayed behind to supervise workmen and decorators. Guess what?
The pitch was so cheap - £11.25
The wardens were a delight
The pitch was flat
It was a hard standing
The sanitation block was superb and the showers so powerful I had one in the morning as well as the night before.
The information hut was full of useful, well, information.
Whats not to like? Would I stay for two nights, well, err ...... That's pushing it a bit!

Well, in 30 years or so of membership we have stayed at two others. We like Cirencester Park due to the location although the site is too large and not very flat. Prefer CLs but nearly all of our trips are to mainland Europe. This country is too crowded!
