Our present Lunar Clubman ES is just over 5 years old. When we bought it the deciding factor wasseating comfort. Looked at the latest model. There were many things we are not keen on but could live with. Not the front seating however. Lunar have done away with the pull out slats on a roll to make up front double. They have bases that slide out from front seats. We use beds as two singles anyway. 

The problem is that in improving the bed making the front seats seem to have raised about 2 inches and when we sit our feet don't rest flat on the floor. It is like sitting on the edge of our bed at home. 

I had thought to change this year. Now no idea what to. Might not  happen!

    We looked at most makes including the Lunars at the show in Feb but did not notice that. We have never bought the same make twice though so for us if a Lunar is not right the next caravan will be another make yet again.

    I will admit to not yet having been that impressed with any new 'van on show that I have wanted to sit down in it!

    We chose the lunar over similar layouts as the seating we found the most comfortable. Others, at that time, were not as good in that important regard we felt

    Quite frankly, if you are happy then stick with your existing van.  I have just bought a new Swift with up market upholstery.  Using it for three days the fabric bubbled and lifted off the cushioning.  Upon collecting the van I noticed that a window wasn't  aligned but is faulty and needs replacing...the dealer is trying to get it replaced under warranty!  The carpet has a big colour difference where it was covered and the dealer admits the carpet that came with my van has been pillaged upon being delivered and an old one being dumped in.  Oh and taking it in to have it fixed, I had more stuff "pillaged" out of it.  I now know why they won't do a repair unless my you sign a document to say you are responsible for it even when it is in their custody!!  All of this from one one of the largest dealers in the country.  Am so disappointed.  Swift really need to grip their quality comtrol and dealer network.

    Sorry to hear of your problems with the dealership. It looks as if we will we hanging on to it MDD10. We have had over 600 nights in it and the seating is comfortable and makes two comfortable decent length and width beds for us. I have ample width for me without removing the backrest in fact.  

    Our tow car is a 12 year old X-Trail and I am not rushing to change that as I like the way it tows. The dealer that I used and would use again gave a price of £11,000 to change, and as I have the money and we use it a lot I was happy to pay out rather than let the government have it for my care if I live that long smile
