'Lazy' Recycling on site

On a CC site last year, warden was just emptying the bins when I went there with my assortment of rubbish. Asked where he would like me to put my waste and he said - just chuck it in any bin, it all gets collected by one truck.
So what is the point?
I do try to sort it, but if something goes in the wrong bin, so what? Hardly the end of the world, is it?
There is some real tosh spouted about this 'green' nonsense.

JV, you must have been unfortunate to meet a lot of Physios with unprofessional attitudes to their job gladly I've made up for it by meeting similar ones to JS

Steve
I raised it again with Rowena yesterday and I understand it is being discussed next week in order to try and find a solution. Any attempts I have made to hide or remove the duplicates have ended in failure so unfortunately for the time being I am leaving them where they are.

Agree. In my hotel this week, each day I'd rinse the plastic bottles and wine bottle (note just one) and leave this next to the waste bin. This morning I was just leaving as the maid came in to start her work and put the waste and bottles into one big black bag. Maybe they'll sort it later?

On the contrary JV, I compressed 3 vertibrae to the extent walking was uncomfortable. After a series of sessions with a Physio I am now fully mobile again. At no point did any of the Physios become rabid 'drill instructors' bullying me into doing dangerous movements. They were very supportive, knowledgeable & professional. Worth every penny
PS-your cynicism re 'return appts' says more about you than the Physios

The very profesional Physios that have treated me since 1993 Private as well as NHS the majority have when speaking to (in general chat)stated the facts , that unless the treatments they advise are followed ,which they say as some think "they do not need" as it seems "they know best" then extra repeat "consultations" are inevitable.
it is not being a cynic its a fact of life in the real world.

Only a fact of life in your world I'm afraid

I'd be more happy to call it positive experiences viewed thru appreciative glasses. I never expect to be treated as a 'special person' just to get help, I've not been let down yet

JV, perhaps the 'extra appts' are down to the basic need for continuing treatment. My 'repeat extra appts' lasted for months until I was fit to be signed off. I'd say that was professionalism. The 'some are not' statement I can't comment on as I've never experienced it

'Contend with?' it's their job to treat their patients until they need treatment no longer JV. I think everyone who gains relief after Physio most certainly 'appreciate the treatments' I'm just glad I've never met any of the Physios you have if they say the things you've pointed out here. Most despairing

Better not tell Toppo that I love Pringles:
The distinctive Pringles tube has been branded a "nightmare" by recycling bosses because of the material it is made of.
The Recycling Association says the combination of a metal base, plastic cap, metal tear-off lid, and foil-lined cardboard sleeve make it one of the most challenging items to recycle. So what else could these pesky tubes - subsequently adopted by some other snack manufacturers - be used for?
see: Recycling: Seven things you can do with a Pringles can
I think filled with concrete they would make a perfect base for flag poles to be used on site?

When away in the caravan we put all our recycling in one bag, take it down to the recyling bins, and sort it there - glass, tins, cardboard, etc. We take a bag down before it gets heavy, or in the car if it's a heavy bag with lots of glass. However it may upset the perfectionists to say that I don't crush the cans, or plastic bottles (our local authority don't insist on it) - but at least the uncrushed ones go in the right bins.
I would think that if anyone is so elderly that if they're not able to lift a bin lid (can that really be the case) then a quick word to a neighbour ought to do the trick. We'd be happy to help, and perhaps so would the OP.0 -
Good try again, RF, but I ain't biting and I doubt anyone who realises you're deliberately fishing will give you the fun you want. Hard luck.

OH has a lot of trouble with those big bins. Having had a half shoulder replacement, that arm cannot be lifted above shoulder level, plus she is quite small.
She has to lift the lid with her good arm and then hope she can throw the stuff in with the dodgy one.
Much prefer the normal small bins. But we always recycle, just like at home.
