KIa Carens as a towcar

Hi does anyone tow with a 2.0 diesel Kia Carens about 10/12 years old  and how did it cope, my sons swift van is only 1300 kg gross and only a b licence so cannot go over 2200 gross for the car he needs to buy it ASAP this will be the first time towing so will keep it easy and cheap (guess where the money is coming from) any help or if you know of a cheap towcar

    I see no problem as long as the weights are OK.

    I have towed 1200KG with a slightly smaller petrol car and a lot less horsepower.

    Many are besotted with enormous vehicles and aircraft engines which does at least satisfy egos!

    PS Switzerland, Austria and Norway are among countries visited.

    We will spend next month in Switzerland (again) with a drastically underpowered Motorhome (3500KG and 84 BHP) and yet a few of the high passes will be traversed without problem!surprised
