Motor movers

Need to get a new mover fitted. I have noticed an advert in the club magazine for a supplier and fitter - autowfix who will arrange to do the fitting at my home. Anyone else used this company ? Will I have to remove old mover or is that part of the deal ? Do they make an extra charge for the removal? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated .

I'm looking to upgrade my caravan so am looking for one that has a motor mover but may need to get one fitted if the right van hasn't got one. So I will be interested in what you find out.

    Regards

    Tom

Did read that report but mover was being fitted to a trailer I think. Was hoping that maybe someone had used this company to fit mover to a caravan. Surely there will be someone else out there who has used them. Usually you only hear about the one that went wrong. I'll hold off for a time to see if anyone else replies . Thanks for you interest arfcevo.

I used autowfix in March of this year, had the Titanium fitted to my caravan.

Arranged a date, kept me informed of the arrival time of the engineer, neat and tidy installation, showed me its operation, emailed the guarantee, happy chappy.

There are some unhappy customer comments on this forum but some have not been altogether truthful, until an engineer arrives he does not know the state of the installation as there could be seized bolts, no pre driled chassis hole mounts etc. My van is fairly new and the installation was quite quick but he said it only takes one to delay the next customer booking. I speak as I find and they were spot on as well as getting a club discount.

I have used this company in 2013 and have nothing but praise. From initial contact, the fitting and dealing with a small issue, was dealt with by phone together with an email instruction leaflet to help me through.

It was completed on a date of my choice at my home address and came with a 5 year warranty.

I kept the van for 3 1/2 years and ive just dismantled the mover and sold it for half the initial outlay!

We replaced our old mover last year and went for the Titanium which was fitted by Autowfix and we were very impressed by the service and the mover. Our van is a heavy single axle and it handles it no Probs. They removed the old one which I sold on EBay as spares/repair and got £120 for it.  It's a good price too, I would definitely recommend both mover and company.

AutoWfix fitted the mover to our Caravan. DaveFL2 suggests that the unhappy comments from people aren’t truthful. I can only relay the facts from my experience and my conclusion is I would NOT recommend this company

The good news is we are happy with the mover and the technician who did the work was very capable, helpful and worked hard to keep us informed

The bad news is making arrangements for the installation and this company's post-sales customer service is appalling!! My Advice - give this company a very wide berth

The first appointment was a no-show - they kept us waiting for hours with zero communication (and no apology). After complaining to the owner, they were then FOUR hours late for the second appointment and the communication from their team who make these arrangements was a disgrace. The owner said that he would send me a complimentary Wheel clamp as compensation for the time they had wasted and the many, many mistakes they had made.

Well they never sent the clamp or any other form of compensation. I wrote a letter of complaint - I kept it factual and not abusive - I have never received any form of apology or other reply.   Give AutoWFix a miss because bottom line the head office team are not competent   and care nothing for customer service

I found them punctual, polite, and knowledgeable. I will use them again
